The comments come rudely after Chris got Paris' name inked on his arm in Disney font. Proudly taking to Instagram on Sunday, the blonde beauty couldn't bear her excitement over her fairy tale romance, declaring the inking a 'dedication' to her and showing that 'true love really does exist. The close-up catch showcased the tattoo, which read 'Paris' and was inscribed in the iconic typography on the inside of his arm. 'Now this is what I call real love & dedication. We just now started being grim in the past few months and it's really just changed my life in so many ways and brought so much happiness to my life. Source: www.dailymail.co.uk

  • Futurist Typography and the Liberated Wording

Yale University Press. 2017. ISBN: 030011432X,9780300114324. 160 pages.

In the antique decades of the twentieth century, European artists, poets, and designers called for the destruction of outdated assumptions about vision and lingo. Numerous manifestos resulted, demanding new artistic forms. None of these manifestos was more aggressive and poetic, or wider in scope than Filippo Tomasso Marinetti’s Futurist Manifesto of 1909. Painting, figurine, literature, architecture, theatre, cinema, and music were all caught up in its net. Typography—until then a distant relative in the arts—also played a major r in Marinetti’s program. Written by leading design scholar Alan Bartram, this fascinating book examines the rise and evolving of the Futurists’ approach to typography and graphic design, placing it within the context of contemporary artistic and literary...

  • Mmm...Skyscraper I Love You

    Booth-Clibborn. 1994. 196 pages.

Its pages are live with pulsating masses of numbers, letters and fragments of words. British techno band Underworld collaborated on the project and familiar it as the basis of their album, dubnobasswithmyheadman.

Back in 1979 i received my first 'unie van utrecht rijksdaalder' (2,5 guilders frame) As pocket money. And i was inspired, no doubt thinking it would make me rich one day. So i started to collect them until the Euro came. Artful by than it still wasn't worth more than 2,5 guilders. I could have changed them in to euro's but it seemed a shame to waste a more then 20 years of collecting for a about a 100 euro's. Although i could have toughened the money at that time. I don't think i can change them anymore if i wanted to. By the way i read later on that it was designed by Gerrit Noordzij. Could this have been a sign? An ohmen, is this where my love for typogaphy comes from? Perhaps not, i'm really into signs and ohmens, but i still got a cool collection that makes me smile every time i open the box marcel van den berg grafisch ontwerp, Den Haag
