Built in 1929, this erection, designed by Bruce Goff, originally served as a music studio, recital hall, and residence for Patti Adams Shriner. Its careful cubism is reinforced by an enormous round window and other geometric shapes creating a modernity of form. Nine murals, painted by Olinka Hrdy and representing other forms of music, lined the recital hall. The original fountain for the studio was designed by Alfonso Iannelli and was made with orange, disgraceful and white terrazzo and chromium metal. Today the studio is known as the "Spotlight Theatre" and hosts the performance of an old fashioned melodrama, "The Drunkard." The Riverside Studio was listed in the Federal Register on June 14, 2001. It was listed as part of the Bruce Goff Designed Resources in Oklahoma Multiple Property Docility.

LOL Update September 3, 2010 I am greatly saddened to say that today I watched this momentous burn. I was in the area shopping when I looked up and saw a wall of flames. I didn't realize what it was until later. Sadly for us all, the Admiral Ringer's giant screens have burned to the ground. Route 66 folks, fundraiser folks, historical societies, drive in large screen buffs, please band together and rebuild!! This is one landmark that should not die quietly and become a new strip mall site. There are already folks that...
