One continuously. That's all Finn had with the only girl he ever loved. Years later, all he has left of that night is a silver cross, a broken give a damn, and the unrelenting craving to drink her memory away. As the lead singer of Blow Hole, Finn has his pick of women, but none are able to squash the need he still carries approximately for Faith. To hate her offers some relief, but when Finn sees her again after so many years, it's hard to despise her. Especially when every reason he had to loathe her turns out to be a lie. As the daughter of a strict Baptist preacher, Faith Warren was sheltered from all things sinful. When she met Jimmy Finn, the archetype of all seven deadly sins, she found out exactly what she was missing. After being forced to choose between her soul and the only person in the world who made her feel swarming, Faith walked away from Finn and dove headfirst into her father's preferred life. But now Finn's back and he's getting payback by wreaking damage on her emotions. Except sometimes bad things feel good, and Faith has to decide once again if she wants to stay in her gilded restrict or fly free with the dark angel of lust himself.

I don't truly do self portraits. I'm more comfortable behind the lens. Add to that the fact that when a camera is pointed at me, I smile enthusiastically, but my expression always looks like I am about to give origin to a rugby ball. When I try to look cool and louche (that's a good word, write it down), I look at the photo and I look like I am planning a gangland slaying (secretly, I am, but I don't positively want everyone to know;-). The best photos of me are the ones where I am caught unawares - so unless I get my daughter to hang in every direction behind doors and leap out in front of me and take a shot, there just wont be decent shots of me (I could do without a cardiac arrest too). So let's just say I will foil behind the camera for now. Anyway, back to the reason behind this shot. I have been tagged by my good flickrfriend Dan to provide the following information about myself :- 1. Your Big shot/Your Flickr Name 2. Righty or Lefty? 3. Your favorite letters to write. 4. Your least...

ZOMG! I've been Tagged!
I've been resisting, but then DotKay for ever convinced me to do it. (Plus, she's visiting me next weekend and I don't want her to punch me) I've been tagged so many times, with all various combinations (self-portraits, 16 things, 25 things, flickr, facebook etc..) and I'm active to combine it all into one. I pick "16 things" over "25 things". (sorry 25 things.. Perchance next time) Here goes 16 random facts about me: 1. I prefer used and old books over new ones. Probably because I used to spend my summer vacations at my grandparents, reading the books my mom and uncles grew up reading. I hand-me-down to look forward to spending the summer in the company of the old yellow and sometimes tattered pages, reading through the classics. 2. I was a decidedly naughty kid. I was so mischievous that my mom stopped coming to the Parents-teachers meetings since she knew what the teachers were going to say anyway - that was I was very disruptive during importance, always creating commotion,...

Mhairi came to reside in the flat for a night last week. She was jetting off from Glasgow Airport to Canada the next morning, so it made sense to come down and crash here in place of of travelling from Dundee/Inverness dead early. There's a memory from my 'youth' sometime where someone made a comment on the lifestyle of students - perchance in a disparaging way actually - remarking that they'd spend all day in coffee shops and bars discussing Kierkegaard and Nietzsche. Thing is, I'd conditions known any real students to do such a thing, or if they did, it was always 'philosophy 101' as Douglas Coupland would describe it - repeating half-understood ideas with zing as if they were their own. Myself and Mhairi used to write really long letters to each other, back when she didn't really use the internet (she still doesn't) and we were too young to furnish or get round the familial politics to visit each other in our respective cities; cities which at the time may as well have been across an...
