Which Paleo Diet Is Best
WHAT ARE MCTs
Medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) are fats with an unusual chemical structure that allows the body to digest them easily. Most fats are broken down in the intestine and remade into a special form that can be transported in the blood. But MCTs bypass the digestion process intact and taken into the bloodstream where they are used as quick energy for the body.
LAURIC ACID & OIL PULLING
Coconut oil pulling has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for nearly 3000 years. The main reason why it works is because of the anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effects of Lauric Acid, which helps to "pull out" bacteria, fungi and other debris from the mouth.*
Athletes often sip carbohydrate-loaded drinks during exercise. MCTs may provide an alternative. Like other fats, they provide more energy per ounce than carbs; but unlike normal fats, this energy can be released rapidly helping to improve performance.
Studies suggest replacing calories with MCT, without exceeding daily caloric requirements, can result in a small but significant increase in the rate of fat loss over time.
Start by swishing 1-2 tablespoons of SR MCT oil in your mouth for 5 min, and gradually build up to 15-20 min. Discard the oil and immediately rinse your mouth out with warm water.
SMOOTHIES: Add 1 tablespoon of MCT Oil to your favorite juice, smoothie or protein drink for a long-lasting energy boost.
SALADS: Substitute traditional oils with MCT Oil in your favorite salad dressings.
COFFEE:Upgrade your coffee by mixing 1 tablespoon of MCT Oil and 1 teaspoon of grass feed butter for sustained energy without the caffeine crash.

With irreverence, humor, and mortal-touching candor, the former editor of Bicycling magazine explores the CrossFit phenomenon, the fitness revolution sweeping America, chronicling his trial "inside the box" and how he got into the best shape of his life. Lifelong amateur athlete Stephen Madden decided to put himself to the test, physically and mentally, by immersing himself in the sophistication, diet, and psyche of CrossFit?the fast-growing but controversial fitness regime that's a stripped-down combination of high intensity aerobic labour, weightlifting, calisthenics, and gymnastics practiced by more than two million athletes worldwide. But what's crazier? The fact that such a grueling regimen?in which puking and muscle breakdowns during workouts are stereotyped?is so popular, or that people pay good money to do it?In Embrace the Suck, Madden chronicles the year he devoted to mastering all of the basic Crossfit exercises like overlapped unders, muscle ups and kipping pullups, and immersing himself in the Paleo diet that strips weight from its followers but leaves them fantasizing about loaves of bread. Throughout, he explores the mores of the sport, visiting gyms (boxes) around the country, becoming a CrossFit coach, and confronting some basic questions about himself, his gone and athletic limitations?and why something so difficult and punishing can be at once beautiful, funny, and rewarding.

Contact Support A low protein, high carbohydrate diet may be the most effective for stimulating a hormone with life-extending and obesity-fighting benefits, according to the latest Australian research. The study, published in the journal Cell Metabolism, paints a clearer picture of the role of Fibroblast Growth Factor 21 (FGF21), the so-called fountain of youth hormone produced primarily in the liver. Previous studies have found that FGF21 plays a role in curbing appetite, moderating metabolism, improving the immune system and extending lifespan. It is also currently being used as a therapeutic target for diabetes but little is known about how this hormone is triggered and released in the body. Now researchers at the University of Sydney’s Charles Perkins Centre have found that diets high in carbohydrate and low in protein are the best for boosting levels of FGF21 in mice. “Despite the popularity of high protein Paleo diets, our research suggests the exact opposite may be best for us as we age — that a low protein, high carbohydrate diet was the most beneficial for late life health and longevity,” says lead author... “The nutritional context in which FGF21 is most elevated is dependent on the balance of protein to carbohydrate, and this balance was also shown to be important in how this hormone helps to mediate protein hunger. These latest findings take researchers one step closer to understanding how FGF21 works and how to use it to help people live longer and healthier lives. The study tested 25 diets that varied in protein, carbohydrate, fat and energy content on mice. The research was conducted in collaboration with the ANZAC Research Institute, Macquarie University, EWOS Innovation in Norway and the Pennington Biomedical Research Centre in Louisiana, USA. Yet more ridiculous commentary about the Paleo diet. The Paleo diet is small amounts of protein not high. If you are going to do a proper scientific study and compare diets then at least start with the correct information. You will find that there is scientific proof that a Paleo diet of Healthy fats, small amounts of organic protein and fruit and large amounts of organic vegetables actually reverses type 2 diabetes not to mention a plethora of other modern diseases. Once again more propaganda probably funded by one of the many big food industries is that is profiting off unhealthiness. Trying to work out why the word vegetarian/vegan is missing from this sudden scientific discovery. After all, have you ever seen a vegetarian that has aged before their time. They always look years younger. And I'm talking real vegetarians - not the ones that eat chicken and fish. The China Study has lots of evidence to back this up. Oh, and it was written over 10 years ago. Just maybe, people are ready to consider it. A great example of irrelevant research based on reductionist thinking - one hormone/growth factor - one control (appetite). In case anyone has not noticed, we are complex organisms with a myriad of feedback/hormonal/neuronal controls in each of our 100 trillion cells. First point is that the paleo concept is never explained very well. There is a vast difference in the quality of the carbs, fats, proteins, whole foods, micro-nutrients and other components in the foods our ancestors ate to the rubbish we eat today as exemplified in the article image. We need to look no further than to the World's longest living culture, the Indigenous Australians to see what an ideal diet was like. Few people also know that while the British invaders' families and country folk were struggling to live to 40 years of age, Aborigines in even the harshest regions of this continent were living active, engaged lifespans of up to 60 and 70 years... This was only possible because of the quality and diversity of their food supply. com which elaborates on the research into Australian wild foods and their health-giving properties. It is the interplay and regular intake of micro-nutrients that contributes to longevity and on-going health, not the regulation of one single molecular entity in a sea of biochemical reactions. A Paleo diet is not high in protein. The Paleo diet is just a diet that mimics what. Source: www.businessinsider.com.au
