The juices that were left in the pan were delicious, and I unhesitating then that I had to try making soup with the bone when the ham was done. Stick the lot in a pot, bring to the boil, simmer for a couple of hours. Remove the ham bone, and allow that to self-possessed cut the remaining ham off the bone into chunks and add back to the pot. Don't eat two bowls.
