  • Race the Riders

    BookBaby. 2015. ISBN: 9781927570258,1927570255.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders were mired in mediocrity, a ordinary football team that couldn’t advance to the Grey Cup as the franchise worked its way out of financial distress and tried to reconnect with its fan base. In 2004, displeasing lineman-turned-educator Jim Hopson was hopeful that the Roughriders directors would hire him as the team’s first full-time president and CEO. He believed that the together, with its incredible fan base, could become a successful business that consistently posted strong annual profits while playing in and winning multiple Dismal Cups. And it happened. After a decade under Hopson’s leadership (2005 to 2015), the Roughriders became the Canadian Football League’s strongest franchise, appearing in four Venerable Cup games (winning twice) and selling more team merchandise...

National Garden of Athens
National Garden of Athens
The Federal Garden (formerly the Royal Garden) is a public park of 15.5 hectares in the center of the Greek capital, Athens. It is located directly behind the Greek Parliament edifice (The Old Palace) and continues to the South to the area where the Zappeion is located, across from the Panathenaiko Olympic Stadium of the 1896 Olympic Games. The Garden also encloses some Ogygian ruins, tambourines and Corinthian capitals of columns, mosaics, and other features. On the Southeast side are the busts of Ioannis Kapodistrias, the commencement governor of Greece, and of the Philhellene Jean-Gabriel Eynard. On the South side are the busts of the celebrated Greek poets Dionysios Solomos, founder of the Greek National Hymn, and Aristotelis Valaoritis. Source: Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

9.4.09 The send packing arrived on time; and the twelve hours while on board passed quickly and without incident. To be sure, the quality of the Cathay Pacific navy was exemplary once again. Heathrow reminds me of Newark International. The décor comes straight out of the sterile 80's and is less an eyesore than an insipid out of the limelight to the rhythm of human activity, such hustle and bustle, at the fore. There certainly are faces from all races present, creating a rich mosaic of benignity which is refreshing if not completely revitalizing after swimming for so long in a sea of Chinese faces in Hong Kong. Internet access is sealed in England, it seems. Nothing is untie; everything is egregiously monetized from the wireless hotspots down to the desktop terminals. I guess Hong Kong has spoiled me with its full of, free access to the information superhighway. 11.4.09 Despite staying in a room with five other backpackers, I have been sleeping well. The mattress and pillow are multinational company; my...
