Doing the Paleo thing takes some creativity and once you've established a decent metabolic state with your body and gut again you can start to bring things back into the mix to see how they make your body react. Many misguided folks assume the Paleo means low-carb and that can be true if you are metabolically broken and overweight. At that point a lower carb daily diet makes sense. But once you get the wheels back on the wagon and you're doing more thriving that surviving you can start to play with the carbs and find-out how many carbs your life style calls for and even what type food you get those carbs from. Typically when I'm charging hard on the strength workouts and mixing in the skill workouts like hockey I'll keep it pretty starchy with the carbs and spagetti squash is awesome tasting as well and the best noodle you've never had.
