Seventeen junior and senior artists from Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child in Summit were recently recognized by having their works displayed during the 37th annual duCret School of Art High School Exhibition in Plainfield. Of the 17 Oak Knoll students, five artists were awarded special honors, including Julia Watt of Essex Fells , C lass of 2016, who won Second Place for her graphite drawing of stones. Carly Pompei of Roselle Park, Class of 2017, and Helena Lyons of Franklin Lakes, Class of 2017, earned Honorable Mentions for landscape drawings while Ana Bambrick-Santoyo of Montclair, Class of 2017, and Natasha Rice of Madison , C lass of 2017,... It was the second year in a row Watt received recognition in the exhibition, as her graphite drawing of a pair of sneakers garnered her a third place award in 2015.
